Step by step explanation
Watch the video next to this text for a quick explanation, or read the extensive step-by-step guide below to discover how to use Tenderflame safely and easily.
Step 1:
Remove the wick and pour Tenderfuel into the Tenderflame reservoir. Then replace the wick and pour a small amount of Tenderfuel over the wick, so that it is well soaked.
Step 2:
Use a powerful lighter, such as a blowtorch, to light the wick. The wick requires a high ignition temperature, which makes Tenderflame extra safe and unique.
Your Tenderflame is burning!
Step 3:
If your Tenderflame is burning, but the flame is getting smaller, you can easily refill it while the flame is still burning. This is possible thanks to the special Tenderfuel , which only burns in combination with the patented steel wick. However, do not pour the Tenderfuel directly over the flame, as this will extinguish the fire.
Step 4:
Smaller Tenderflame candles can be easily extinguished by blowing them out or pouring Tenderfuel over the wick. For larger fireplaces and table fireplaces, you can use the included extinguisher to safely extinguish the flame.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have any questions about how to use Tenderflame or would you like to know more about safety and maintenance? Below we have answered the most frequently asked questions for you, so that you can get the most out of your Tenderflame.
My Tenderflame is sputtering, what now?
If the Tenderflame has not been used for a while and there is still Tenderfuel in it, the table fireplace may show a kind of sputtering/popping sound.
This is caused by ambient moisture that the Tenderfuel pulls from the air. When this moisture is heated, the small droplets burst and steam is released. Fortunately, this is not harmful.
There are three ways to prevent this:
- Clean the wick of the Tenderflame with a piece of toilet paper. This way the wick is free of dirt and the flame can burn normally.
- Let the Tenderfuel burn completely when burning the table fireplace. That way there is no Tenderfuel present that can pull the moisture out of the air.
- Refresh the Tenderflame with new Tenderfuel. It is important that the wick is also doused with the fuel. The old Tenderfuel can simply go down the sink.
